This weekend, the Emporia Public Schools’ Community-Wide Drive for Student Needs will come to an end.
Heather Wagner, the district’s family and student support specialist, says the drive started several years ago.
Wagner says the district especially needs children’s clothing of any kind, but clothing for all ages is welcomed including shirts, pants, underwear, socks, shoes, boots, gloves, coats and hats. Belts, blankets and pillows are also welcomed. New or gently-used clothing or accessories that are clean are requested.
Drop-off boxes are available at Good’s Cash Saver, Dillons, Flinthills Mall, KVOE and the Emporia Gazette this week.
