Emporia State University continues building leaders -- and it's doing so by building on its partnership with the Kansas Leadership Center.
On KVOE's most recent ESU Buzz, President Dr. Michael Shonrock said students are already seeing some of the lessons in their coursework.
Leadership Center Director and CEO Ed O'Malley said leadership is an activity, not a position.
ESU's senior leadership spent part of the week at the Leadership Center for a special conference. O'Malley and Shonrock met almost two years ago and began discussing how to infuse leadership activities in a college curriculum.
The Leadership Center has been in existence since 2007 and focuses on building "the common good" for the private sector and now college students.
