Hornet Connections going high-tech

Emporia State's Hornet Connections program is going high-tech -- with positive results.

On this week's ESU Buzz with President Dr. Michael Shonrock, Center for Student Involvement Director Jason Bosch says Hornet Connections has helped to let students know about what happens on and off campus, but it had become "static." That has changed.

Dean of Students Lynn Hobson says parents are an important part of the program.

Hobson says parent comments indicate they like the program, with many saying other universities don't have the same things in their orientation programs.

Hornet Connections is available for all incoming students, who finalize their paperwork to become Hornets during the program.
