The North Lyon County School Board has set a special time for its next regular meeting on Monday.
Board members are meeting at 6 pm instead of the normal 7 pm, largely to talk about their search for a new superintendent.
Board members have tentatively planned to meet with a group led by Brian Jordan, the Kansas Association of School Boards' Director of Leadership Services, on Monday. Jordan's group is also planning to meet with different district focus groups Monday before the board meeting.
The discussions to replace current superintendent Mike Nulton began in earnest in September after the board voted 4-3 not to renew Nulton's contract in January.
The board has set a Jan. 6 deadline to end the application process, with interviews beginning shortly thereafter.
The meeting will be in the district board office in Americus.
