ESU celebrates winter graduates

Emporia State University held its winter commencement activities Saturday at White Auditorium and Albert Taylor Hall.

Dr. David Edds, the undergraduate commencement speaker and the 2013 Roe Cross Distinguished Scholar, told the undergraduates they made a solid investment of time and money by coming to ESU.

Edds says students become ambassadors for ESU as they graduate, and he hopes they are as proud of the university as the faculty and staff are.

An estimated 300 students received bachelor's degrees. Another 200 received graduate degrees as well.
