A Lyon County woman is in stable condition following a rollover crash Tuesday afternoon south of Hartford.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office says 43-year-old Jessica Elliott of rural Hartford was southbound in the 700 block of Road Y-5 shortly after 1:30 p.m., when for an unknown reason, her vehicle left the roadway, went down a rocky embankment and rolled.
Elliott, who was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, had to be extricated from the vehicle. She was then airlifted by Life Team helicopter to Stormont Vail Health in Topeka for treatment.
In addition to Lyon County Deputies, members of the Emporia Fire/EMS and Fire District 5 also responded at the scene.

One person was transported following an injury accident south of Hartford.
Lyon County Sheriff's Deputies and first responders were called out to a one-vehicle crash shortly after 1:30 pm Tuesday in the 700 block of Road Y-5. A southbound vehicle lost control for an unknown reason and went off the road, went down a rocky embankment and rolled.
The driver, 43-year-old Jessica Elliott of rural Hartford had to be extricated. She was then transported by Life Team helicopter to Stormont Vail Health in Topeka. Her condition is currently unknown. Elliott was wearing a seatbelt. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
