Residents urged to test for radon

January is Radon Action Month in Kansas, and the dangers of radon were highlighted on KVOE recently.

Rhonda Gordon and Travis Carmichael of the Lyon County Extension office were guests on Talk of Emporia.

Gordon says radon is a silent health issue.

Carmichael says radon test kits are available from the Extension Office for $6 apiece.

Kits come with a postage paid envelope so you can have the test completed.
