The United Way of the Flint Hills has crossed their campaign threshold, bringing in just over $500,000. Director Jami Reever says it's been a strong campaign.
The goal is $575,000 in 75 days. The campaign celebration will be on Feb. 12, at the ESU basketball game. At halftime of the men's game, Reever and others involved in the United Way campaign will share with the community how much money was raised.
Reever said the money now serves over 11,000 people in Lyon and surrounding counties.
The United Way is celebrating its 75th year locally. For more information, call the United Way at 342-7564 or go online to www.uwfh.org.
