Osage County chases lead to sentencings

An Osage City man who led authorities from Melvern Lake to Emporia on Christmas Day will spend a year in prison.

 

22-year-old David Lehnherr of Osage City was sentenced Monday after a conviction last month of felony flee and elude, according to the Osage County Herald-Chronicle.

Lenherr was on felony probation out of Lyon County at the time of the chase.

Meanwhile, a Wichita man was sentenced to 14 months in prison after trying to outrun authorities in early December.

34-year-old Jeremy Neal stole a personal vehicle belonging to Burlingame Police Chief Jon Shaffer, triggering a high-speed chase that ended when Neal crashed.

Neal was on felony probation out of Sedgwick County at the time of the chase.
