An Overland Park consultant is moving forward with its research as it fleshes out a visitor profile study for Emporia leaders.
Proof Positioning Inc. laid out its so-called secondary research bullet points during the Convention and Visitors Advisory Board meeting Monday. Proof CEO Grant Gooding says Emporia has demonstrated it can do a lot of things well, from education to support of veterans to arts and entertainment to sporting events.
Gooding spearheaded the secondary research period, which is now over. Proof is now moving into its primary phase, which includes developing and conducting surveys to see what concepts resonate with people, breaking down the data and helping the city create a brand to draw in more tourists.
A two-day retreat is planned later this spring to sift through the primary data.
