KDOT to open Osage County roundabout park-and-ride lot

The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to open up a new park and ride area for drivers in Osage County near the site of a new roundabout under construction.

KDOT plans to open up the area Thursday or Friday, weather permitting. The lot is on the south side of Kansas Highway 268.

Work continues on the roundabout itself to connect U.S. Highway 75 with K-268 and K-31 outside Osage City. Building a shoo-fly detour has been the first order of business this spring with actual roundabout construction later in the year. The entire project should be finished by early fall.
