A bench trial is scheduled for 9 am Friday in the case of Thomas Hebb. However, Assistant County Attorney Amy Aranda says a plea arrangement may be announced instead.
The Emporia man waived his rights to a speedy trial in July, setting the stage for the bench trial.
Hebb, age 60, faces nearly 60 misdemeanor counts of promoting obscenity and stalking after allegedly mailing letters of a sexual or pornographic nature to women in Emporia and Lyon County. Authorities say the letters started appearing in mailboxes in late 2011.
