Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for KVOE listening area until 4am Monday

Mother's Day across the KVOE listening area turned out to be dry, if not blustery, but thunderstorms are still forecast to sweep through the area early Monday morning. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Lyon, Osage, Chase, Greenwood, Wabaunsee, and Morris Counties until 4 a.m. Monday morning.

TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers says this frontal boundary will move more slowly, therefore any storm activity locally would be seen well after dark.

This comes after damaging hail and heavy rain fell across a good chunk of the KVOE listening area Saturday afternoon.

Stay tuned to KVOE, KVOE.com, Twitter and Facebook.
