Dunn tells KVOE News some of the items in question have been identified and returned to their rightful owners. Osage County is working currently with the the Kansas City Kansas Police Department, Topeka Police Department and both the Shawnee and Pottawatomie County sheriff's offices as the investigation continues.

It's unclear how many people may be involved. Suspect descriptions have not been released. Dunn says there was some marijuana on the property and further testing is needed to determine what other illegal drugs may have been found.

Dunn believes this case will be separate from two truck thefts discovered June 11 in Reading. Emporia Police and the Lyon County Sheriff's Office are working with Lee's Summit Police on that case. The suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 40's to 50's, with sandy red hair and a "husky" build. He was wearing a dark short-sleeve shirt and shorts. Call Emporia Police at 343-4200 or Lyon County deputies at 342-5545 with information about the Reading thefts.
