In a week, Rally North America comes to Emporia, Kansas.
Organizer Tony Intrieri says the five-year-old rally could bring 75 to 80 vehicles to town next Thursday, all driving classic or muscle cars from the 1960s to the present day. He says the rally turns into a week-long scavenger hunt for the drivers.
In addition, the event raises money for charity. This year, Rally North America has already generated some $85,000 for Accelerated Care Project for Multiple Sclerosis. The rally has raised over $250,000 for different charities since 2009.
The rally starts Monday in Martinsville, W.V., travels along U.S. Highway 50 and and ends in Pueblo, Colo., on July 11. The current projection has drivers coming to the All Veterans Memorial sometime between noon and 2 pm.
