The teenager allegedly involved in the Short Stop convenience store robbery July 20 has a hearing Monday afternoon.
Lyon County Attorney Marc Goodman says the 15-year-old male is set for a detention hearing at 2 pm. The teen was placed in detention shortly after he was arrested last week.
Emporia Police says the the teenager robbed the store of cash and cigarettes at gunpoint. Officers also say the teenager stole a vehicle and a gun in separate incidents and used both to commit Sunday's robbery. In addition, Emporia Police says they have cleared 15 auto burglaries through the Short Stop investigation as well as the theft of drugs, including narcotics, from the Emporia High nurse's office on Easter morning.
