Lyon County now in waiting mode for Anderson Building grant

Now, we wait.

Lyon County commissioners signed necessary paperwork to move forward as the county seeks a $400,000 Community Development Block Grant to help pay for a massive overhaul to the Fairgrounds Anderson Building.

The plan is to move the bathrooms from the southeast corner to the west side, move the main entrance from the south side to the west side and add a kitchen.

In other business from Thursday's action meeting, commissioners are still holding off on a decision for whether to join the Flint Hills Economic Development District. Commissioners say they need more paperwork and public comment before they can make an informed decision.
