The organization received a $750,000 grant from the Jones Trust, and can match any other amount raised dollar-for-dollar. That money will go towards renovations to their new location, the former National Teachers Hall of Fame building, on 1320 C of E Drive.

For the first time, prize money was offered to the winners of this year's Steak Challenge. This year the first place $300 award went to Ray Toso and Brian Dewitt. KVOE's own Scott Hayes tied... for fourth place.
