RDA spends time discussing upcoming initiatives

The Regional Development Association briefly touched on several topics in their November meeting Friday.

The RDA will be holding a special 5-Year Planning Retreat on Friday, Nov. 15, from 12-3 pm at the Skyline Room at Emporia State. At the retreat, the RDA will hammer out a five-year plan on how to run the association.

Members Jon Geitz and Ken Bazil are leaving RDA at the end of this year. They both served two 3-year terms, which is the maximum amount any member can serve. Geitz said their replacements will be appointed in December, at the RDA's annual meeting.

In other business, the board briefly discussed the Flint Hills Regional Council's offer of joining.

More information on these topics will be available at RDA's annual meeting on Dec. 13.
