Don Hill tabbed as ESU government relations consultant

Emporia State University is tabbing Emporian, and former state representative, Don Hill as their new government relations consultant.

The former Kansas state representative will be advocating, at the statehouse, for ESU and Kansas public higher education.

Hill says this is a position that has interested him, and dovetails into one of his main focuses during his time in the Legislature.

Hill served seven terms in the statehouse, after being elected in 2002, before announcing his retirement last year.  He had served on both the House Education (K-12) and the Higher Education committees, on the House appropriation committee, and had represented the Kansas Legislature at the Midwest Higher Education Compact conference.  Hill replaces Brian Denton, who had held the role since 2014. Denton is moving to ESU's Office of Institutional Research and Assessment as coordinator of institutional effectiveness.
