The annual International Food Festival was held at Emporia State University's Webb Hall. International students from countries around the world, including Japan, Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Paraguay and many others, had the chance to share more than just traditional dishes from their home countries with the community. Those in attendance were able to converse, dance and of course dine with foreign exchange students.
Dana Al Nouri, a native of Syria, says simply sampling a traditional dish can open individuals to an entire dialogue on foreign customs.
Bolivian exchange student Mariana Guerra echoes this statement. She says she is very thankful to the individuals who are open to new experiences.
