
Greenwood County is on the northern fringe of a flood watch extending to Saturday morning. The National Weather Service is expecting anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of rainfall in southeast Kansas on Friday. Low-lying areas and poor drainage areas could see flooding, and there could also be issues along streams, creeks and rivers.
Greenwood County had several separate flooding issues last fall, with bouts of heavy rainfall in August and September leading to almost county-wide damage of the gravel road network.
