Preliminary hearing continued for Emporia motorcyclist charged with flee and elude

An Emporia man charged in leading police on three separate pursuits last month has had his preliminary hearing continued.

Andrew Reisen, Jr., 19 appeared Tuesday in Lyon County District Court where a judge continued the case to 2 p.m. June 28. An attorney review hearing is also set for June 21.

Reisen faces three counts of felony flee and elude from an incident in the late hours of May 18 and early morning of May 19. Reisen allegedly led police three different times on a motorcycle chase in and around Emporia reaching speeds in excess of 130 miles per hour. Later in the evening Reisen also allegedly wrecked his bike and fled the scene before Emporia Police and Lyon County Sheriff's deputies arrested him.
