Isolated damage reports are starting to come to light after storm activity Monday night and Tuesday morning.

So far, damage has been limited to the Lebo area, where downed tree limbs knocked out at least one car windshield and two parts of the Lebo Lumber's warehouse roof "rolled up" as a result of the storms. The business is open as usual Tuesday.

Badly-needed rainfall came to the KVOE listening area Monday night and early Tuesday morning.

Here at the KVOE studios, we received 0.80 inches of rain from two rounds of storm activity. Other totals as reported by KVOE listeners:

*East Emporia: 1 inch
*West Emporia: 0.80 inches
*Emporia Municipal Airport: 0.61 inches
*Between Olpe and Hartford: 2.4 inches
*Allen: 0.70 inches
*Bushong: 1.15 inches
*Hartford: 1.5 inches
*Lake Kahola: 0.25 inches
*Olpe area: 1.75 inches
*Reading: 1 inch
*Thorndale: 0.70 inches

The rain came from strong storms that triggered a flurry of severe thunderstorm warnings overnight, but no severe weather reports across our area have been confirmed as of yet by the National Weather Service.

Storms could redevelop by late Tuesday afternoon, and there is a marginal risk of severe weather -- again for hail and high winds. TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers says the most likely time for strong storms is overnight, but the severe weather chances aren't as significant as they were for Monday night and Tuesday morning.

If you have rain totals from Monday night, call KVOE at 342-1400 or use the Bluestem Farm and Ranch text line at 620-342-5863.
