Lyon County commissioners zipped through their action meeting Thursday.

During the consent agenda, where several items can be decided upon with one vote, commissioners approved their ongoing involvement in the US Highway 50 Access Management plan recently continued by the city. County Engineer Chip Woods says the document involving the city, county and Kansas Department of Transportation was first approved several years ago and details plans -- or changes in plans -- for controlled access to the highway. The city recently applied to receive special KDOT funds to improve Road F from US 50 north to Road 180.

Also, commissioners approved a small amount of truck equipment for the Road and Bridge Department.
