Isolated, slow-moving thunderstorms are dropping a lot of rain across parts of the KVOE listening area. One cluster has triggered a flood warning south of Emporia.

The National Weather Service has northern Greenwood County in a flood warning until 9:15 pm after radar estimates of 2-4 inches of rain Thursday afternoon with another 1-3 inches possible. Madison, Hamilton, Thrall and Eureka City Lake are in the advisory.

The NWS says runoff will flood small creeks and streams as well as country roads, farmland and other low-lying spots.

Additional isolated storms are expected through early evening and could bring small hail and gusty but non-severe winds in addition to heavy rain.

Stay with KVOE, KVOE.com and KVOE social media for updates. If you have storm photos or rain totals, message the Bluestem Farm and Ranch text line at 620-342-5863.
