Road and bridge construction projects continue on the Kansas Turnpike -- and elsewhere across the KVOE listening area.

The Turnpike has several short-term work zones underway. Two miles south of Emporia, bridge deck repairs will affect the northbound outside lane into late afternoon. Further south, milling and surfacing is taking place near the Matfield Green service area, with the northbound inside lane closed between mile markers 98 and 102.

Meanwhile, Greenwood County Road and Bridge will close 380th Street between Highway 99 and V-50 Road starting Monday for repairs to a one-lane bridge near Blakely Cemetery. The project should last around two weeks and will increase the load rating from three tons to 21 tons.
