A decision on a contract for a wind farm affecting parts of eastern Lyon County will have to wait at least a week.

County commissioners were set to consider an agreement with RES Americas for a wind energy development from the Reading area towards Osage City. However, the agenda item was pulled with more discussions needed. Further specifics are not being released at this time.

As far as other agenda items, commissioners approved the purchase of rifles and related equipment for the Sheriff's Office at a total cost of around $17,000. Commissioners also:

*Approved a quote of just over $6,500 from ValuNet FIBER to prep the Law Enforcement Center for new phones.
*Approved adult and juvenile reimbursement budgets through the Kansas Department of Corrections for Lyon County Community Corrections.
*Approved the purchase of a drug court database from Five Point Solutions at a cost of $18,000.
*Approved a memorandun of agreement concerning the Flint Hills Regional Council. This MOA also involves Morris, Geary and Riley counties as well as Manhattan and Junction City.
