A pair of defendants in a Lyon County drug case saw their cases move forward Wednesday.


Luis Guillen, 25, of Emporia was bound over on all counts including intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school. A pretrial conference has been set for 2 p.m. Nov. 2

Seana Herron, 21, of Emporia who is also charged with drug distribution in a school zone saw her case continued to 9 a.m. Nov. 14.

The pair were among five Emporians arrested Sept. 7 as part of a sting operation by Emporia Police, Lyon County deputies and the Lyon County Special Response Team. Fellow co-defendants Jacob Rodriguez and Cole Bowen were set for pretrial hearings last week. Rodriguez will appear Oct. 26 and Bowen is back in court Nov. 14. Meanwhile, Amanda Alvarado has a preliminary hearing at 11 a.m. Thursday.
