An incoming storm system may cause some wintry travel hazards Thursday.

KVOE listeners have a slight chance of a rain-snow mix before sunrise. Little to no accumulation is expected, but isolated slick spots are possible with temperatures bottoming out at 32 degrees.

The chances of a rain-snow mix are much better through the day Thursday, although less than an inch of total accumulation is expected. Slick spots could develop again Thursday night into early Friday as the rain-snow mixture could keep falling through the mid-evening hours and temperatures drop to the mid- and upper 20s.

Cold air will continue filtering across the area Friday night as low temperatures dip below 20 degrees. Temperatures should gradually moderate through the upcoming weekend.
