Emporia City Commissioners will review several items for approval during their action session Wednesday.

A major item on the schedule will be the potential approval of an extension for the City's incentive and compliance agreement with Renewable Energy Group for a development project in Industrial Park III. The original agreement was entered into back in 2007 for development of a new biodiesel plant. The project was partially completed before being mothballed for the past ten years.

The current agreement is set to expire on New Year's Eve. If approved the extension would see the agreement continue through 2023 and would be the final extension granted on the project.

Also on the agenda, Commissioners will consider approving requests for two conditional use permits for the Preston Plaza and Lofts building at 528 Merchant and the S.O.S. safe house.

Commissioners will also consider adopting the proposed continuance of the neighborhood revitalization program. Approval of the annual resolution for the official boundary list and an ordinance to update cell tower policy will also be considered.

The meeting begins at 1:30 p.m. inside the municipal courtroom at White Auditorium.
