Lyon County deputies say a vehicle-bicycle wreck in Bushong late Wednesday afternoon was a hit-and-run collision, and they are asking for help in solving this case.

Deputy Brandon Early says deputies and rescue workers from Emporia and Allen-Admire were dispatched to 219 East Third in Bushong around 4 pm after the crash was reported. Early says the cyclist, 24-year-old Audrey Rawlings of Allen, was in the 600 block of Road 335 -- or the 200 block of East Third -- when her bike was rear-ended.

Rawlings had non-life-threatening injuries and declined a hospital trip after she was checked at the scene. Americus first responders were initially dispatched but were canceled before arriving.

The make and model of the vehicle that reportedly hit Rawlings' bike are not known, and there is no descriptive information available on the driver. If you have information, call the Sheriff's Office at 341-3205 or Lyon County Crime Stoppers at 342-2273. You can also submit tips anonymously through www.p3tips.com or the P3Tips mobile app.

Early indications are a vehicle rear-ended a bicyclist, however, that report has not yet been confirmed.
