Burlington Police are looking for a suspect as they investigate a recent business burglary.

The Police Department says officers responded to a door alarm at The Medicine Shoppe just after 9 pm Wednesday. Officers responded and found nobody in the building, so they enlisted the help of the Kansas Highway Patrol, including a K-9 unit. The dog eventually lost the scent, but other evidence was collected at the pharmacy.

Burlington PD says the suspect is a white male. He was wearing a bandana as a face mask and also had a black hoodie over his head. He was noticed using a pry bar and a crowbar to get inside and allegedly steal narcotics. There is no additional information about the suspect.

Other small towns, including Carbondale, Humboldt, Parsons and Erie, have seen similar crimes recently. If you have information, call Burlington Police at 620-364-8757.
