Hearings in two separate appeals from convictions in Lyon County earlier this decade have been delayed.

Curtis Webb, 57, is appealing his sentence of 30 months for violating the state's Offender Registration Act as part of a 2016 case, citing ineffective counsel for the appeal. Briefs in his appeal are due March 22. No upcoming court date is on the docket at this time.

Dave Wasylk, 52, is appealing his sentence of almost 26 years in prison after his 2013 conviction of aiding and abetting the manufacture of methamphetamine, citing ineffective counsel as the main reason. The Kansas Supreme Court affirmed the sentence in 2015, while the United States Supreme Court denied Wasylk's appeal in 2017. He's back in court Feb. 27.
