One man wanted for allegedly absconding from a work release assignment in Greenwood County has been arrested.

Anthony Keyes reportedly left his work assignment Jan. 28 and, according to deputies, was taken out of the county by a family member who was unaware of the overall situation. Greenwood County ultimately issued a statewide alert to other law enforcement to find Keyes, who was arrested Friday.

Formal charges are pending. Additional details about Keyes' capture have not been released.

Keyes has prior convictions in Greenwood County for burglary, theft, criminal damage and escape from custody dating back to 2000. He also has a Butler County conviction for forgery in 2012 and an Elk County conviction for theft in 2009.
