Keeping in line with years past, the Emporia State University Debate Team is once again headed to nationals. 

This year, for the first time, the ESU Debate Team has two teams that qualified for nationals. The National Debate Tournament will be in two weeks at the University of Minnesota where several teams with gather to compete. Debater Kalese Warfield talks about the competition.

ESU Debate has won three national championships in two different conferences since 1993, and they're hoping to bring home another one. Assistant debate coach Courtney Schaufer says preparation and practice is key.

This year's resolution or question for debate at nationals pertains to restricting certain aspects of the executive authority of the President, and the debaters have spent countless hours researching and constructing their arguments and counter-arguments.
