Bikers from across the Central Plains came down to the ABATE District 12 Bike Show to show of their passion for biking.

Many people from all walks of life came to show off their bikes including Larry Kimbee. He designed a motorcycle that his wife, Lou Ann Kimbee, could ride despite the fact she is in a wheelchair. Kimbee shows his bikes off for a different reason than most bikers.

Many participants, including Kara Zapata, come back to Emporia on a regular basis for the show.

The ABATE District 12 committee is a non-profit committee that puts all of its proceeds towards different causes. They have a scholarship to Flint Hills Technical College for people with ties to the ABATE of Kansas, two benefit rides every year and toy drives around Christmas.
