Emporia Police are investigating after an apparent "smash-and-grab" burglary last week.

Lyon County Crime Stoppers says an unknown person smashed the front door glass at TP Jewelry and Pawn, 606 West Sixth, got inside and stole jewelry May 9. Investigators say the jewelry is distinct and can be identified by the store's owner.

The suspect's face was hidden during the burglary, so Crime Stoppers is not saying whether officers are looking for a man or woman. Additional description information is not available.

Crime Stoppers has a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to arrests and convictions in this case. If you have information, call Police at 343-4200. You can also call Crime Stoppers at 342-2273, submit tips online through www.p3tips.com or use the P3Tips mobile app.
