The second of two suspects accused in a rash of auto burglaries in Osage County has been sentenced.

Aaron Griffith was sentenced this week to 30 months in prison. His sentence will run consecutively to a prior prison term from Shawnee County.

Griffith's sentence follows a sentence handed down in February for his co-defendant, Trivette Alvarado, who received 41 months in prison after pleading guilty to single counts of vehicle burglary and burglary in an attempt to steal a firearm.

Both were arrested in October after nearly 30 car burglaries in Carbondale, Overbrook and Scranton last year.

Separately, Osage City resident Ricky Wright was sentenced Monday to 30 months in prison after a conviction of methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute. Wright was arrested in late November. His sentence effectively revoked probation in a prior case, so he now has to serve an additional 15 months in prison as a result.
