Sacred Heart feeds the masses with annual Mexican Supper

By September 29, 2017 567

People showed up in droves Friday night to support Sacred Heart PTO. The Mexican Supper, in its 44th year has always attracted large crowds.

Some enjoyed their supper outdoors as the weather turned out perfect. Others gathered inside the parish hall with friends and family to enjoy tacos, rice, beans and plenty of baked goods to help support the school. Funds raised will help support technology needs among other things at the Catholic school.

Volunteer Michael Duryea was one of many working in the kitchen Friday night and says this was his second year helping at the event.

The event typically sees more than 6,000 tacos prepared each year and is the largest fundraising event of the year for the school.
