NCAA chief medical officer speaking at ESU on Monday Featured

Emporia State University is welcoming the NCAA's chief medical officer to campus Monday night.


Dr. Brian Hainline will have a presentation called "Can Sport Save Society?" Hainline oversees the NCAA Sport Science Institute. He is also the clinical professor of neurology at New York University School of Medicine and Indiana University School of Medicine. In addition, he has served as chief medical officer for the US Open Tennis Championships and the United States Tennis Association as part of a better than 30-year career in sports medicine.

Hainline's presentation is at 7 pm at the Memorial Union Webb Hall. While on campus, he will also interact with student-athletes, athletic trainers and student trainers as well as coaching staff and faculty.
