Emporia State University held a Forensic Pathology and Forensic Science Open House on Monday to show off the Forensic Science program.

The open house gave future students who are interested in the program a chance to meet students and faculty involved in the program as well as the facilities of the program. Tours took the students through the program's DNA and chemistry labs, crime scene room, and the crime scene research facility.

The open house also featured Chief Medical Examiner and Coroner of Johnson county, Kansas Dr. Diane Peterson to do a seminar titled "Forensic Pathology".
Peterson says that her being at the open house alerts students about the differences forensic pathology has from other forensic sciences.
