Lyon County commissioners have a busy action meeting Wednesday.

Commissioners have two zoning matters to discuss and possibly approve. Commissioners will discuss a minor plat application and a possible rezoning from agriculture to light industrial at 1771 Road G. Commissioners originally discussed this project a few weeks ago and sent the plat back to the Lyon County Planning Board for minor adjustments.

Separately, commissioners may consider a $19,000 payment to Lyon-Coffey Rural Electric to install electricity at the so-called Lang Substation northeast of Emporia. This is among the first wave of projects as Emporia and Lyon County begin renovating the emergency radio and communication system.

Also, commissioners could approve new welding equipment for the Highway Department and could review the 2019 Timber Culvert Inspection report.

The meeting starts at 8 am Wednesday in the County Courthouse.
