The Emporia Church of Christ is opening its doors to the community yet again for its annual Thanksgiving meal Thursday.

Once again, the meal will feature the traditional holiday favorites like turkey, green beans, corn, sweet potato casserole, stuffing, cranberry dressing and more. There is a change for people needing deliveries, as Pastor Neil Taylor explained on KVOE's Newsmaker segment Tuesday. He's asking people to finalize arrangements by Wednesday night.

Besides the 400 deliveries, around 300 people came to the church to eat. Turnout was heavy enough last year that the church ran out of pies, so there could be over 100 pies available Thursday.

Thursday's meal will be at the church, 502 West 12th, from 11 am to 2 pm. No monetary donations are requested. If you need a delivery, you need to call the church at 342-3999 -- again by 9 pm Wednesday -- and leave a message if nobody answers the phone.
