The Kansas Highway Patrol has adjusted part of the crash narrative from a three-vehicle wreck southwest of Emporia earlier this week.

The wreck involved a car driven by 35-year-old Sophea Phol of Wichita, a semi driven by 47-year-old Brian Chamberlain of Beloit, Wisconsin and a charter bus driven by 61-year-old Jesus Ramirez of El Paso, Texas. The details behind the crash itself remain the same. Phol was southbound in the outside lane before stopping the car, backing up and turning broadside about eight miles southwest of Emporia on Monday. The semi hit the car, and after Phol started going north against traffic, the bus hit the car as well.

An errant entry listed Phol as female instead of male. The Kansas Highway Patrol also says the wreck was "likely intentional."

Phol was taken to Newman Regional Health and has since been released.

The investigation is ongoing through the Highway Patrol.
