Final pretrial hearings are slated Wednesday for two business robbery suspects.


Both Daniel McClead and Ruby Garza will be in court for hearings at 4 pm. Both are also set for trials beginning next Monday unless there are late developments.

McClead and Garza have been charged in connections with two alleged robberies of the Casey's convenience story on South Commercial and one alleged robbery of Angelina's Fashion in June. McClead faces three counts each of aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery, while Garza has been charged with single counts of aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and possession of stolen property.

Another defendant, Gustavo Perez-Garcia, has a pretrial hearing Jan. 2 on three counts of aggravated robbery and three more counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery.
