A search warrant conducted by the Emporia Police Department and US Department of Homeland Security has led to the arrests of two people on suspicion of drug activity.


Police Sgt. Lisa Sage says officers and Homeland Security agents went to 2039 West 12th on Wednesday. Several people were inside, and authorities arrested two people:

*Rebecca Oakman, 26, of Wichita, was arrested and jailed on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. She was also served an arrest warrant from an unspecified jurisdiction.
*Johnny Alejandro Gasca, 31, of Emporia, was arrested on suspicion of possessing methamphetamine with intent to deliver and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
