Nearly a week after the first of three confirmed shots fired incidents into local homes, Emporia Police investigators continue their work -- but have not given any details about the case since it was announced.

Officers have been investigating incidents at 1101 Congress and 531 East Logan, less than a block from Logan Avenue School, since early Dec. 7. They have also been investigating a third incident at 901 Mary, across the street from the Whittier Park ballfields, after that was reported Monday evening.

All three houses were occupied when they were shot, but thankfully nobody inside was hurt. There is no word on suspects and there is no word on whether any of these shootings are connected.

Lyon County Crime Stoppers has announced a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrests and convictions of those involved. If you have information, call Emporia Police at 343-4200 or Crime Stoppers at 342-2273. You can also submit tips through the P3Tips mobile app or through www.p3tips.com
