Community groups can now apply for funding through the Emporia St. Patrick's Committee.


The application is now available on KVOE.com and through committee members. On KVOE's Morning Show on Tuesday, spokesperson Barb Lowery said the application process is straightforward.

Applications are due by the close of business Jan. 28, with selections finalized Jan. 29. The annual auction is Feb. 28 at Bruffs Sports Bar and Grill. The annual parade is March 14, and Lowery says the 35th Infantry Division Band will be part of the parade lineup.

Last year, the committee handed out $30,000 to 25 groups. Since the first auction 25 years ago, the St. Patrick's Committee has handed out over $320,000 to over 180 groups.
