Government and Public Facilities: Emporia

*City of Emporia city offices, Municipal Court and White Auditorium closed effective Monday until further notice. All offices will be open for assistance by phone or email

Government and Public Facilities: Lyon County

*Lyon County Courthouse closed until further notice. Essential personnel only to report. Residents needing to pay bills need to contact respective offices.
*Fifth District Court Trustee dockets for April 6, April 27 and May 18 continued
*Lyon County and Chase County District Court continuing all jury trials scheduled through June 1. Numerous dockets suspended. Offices in Emporia and Cottonwood Falls closed to the public. Essential staff only to report. No marriage ceremonies until further notice. No tours, meetings or events allowed or scheduled until further notice
*Lyon County Appraiser's Office encouraging all informal property appeals to be conducted by phone by March 30
*Lyon County Clerk's Office services provided by email, mail or phone only
*Lyon County Community Corrections questions will be answered by phone or email. Probationers are told to contact their officers with questions
*Lyon County Extension Office closed to the public until further notice. Extension-related events canceled or postponed through April 4, including club meetings, shows, activities, Extension Master Gardeners and Walk Kansas kickoff
*Lyon County Annex, Fairgrounds, Anderson Building and Bowyer Community Building closed until further notice

*City of Americus City Hall closed to the public. Residents are told to call, email or fax correspondence with the city and to leave payments in the city dropbox or KansasLand Bank
*City of Burlington asking residents to pay utilities and other bills at the City Hall dropbox or online
*City of Cottonwood Falls asking residents to pay utility bills by using city dropbox or by mail
*City of Hartford asking residents to pay utility bills by using city dropbox, mail, online or phone
*City of Lyndon City Hall closed until further notice; city is asking residents to pay utility bills by using dropbox or going online. All city business will be handled at city drive-thru window or by phone. Events at Lyndon Community Center canceled until further notice
*City of Madison recommending residents pay utility bills or mention concerns by using the city dropbox, go online or mail
*City of Reading City Hall closed to the public. All community-building rentals have been canceled. Residents are encouraged to utilize dropbox, phone and or email for city contact. City council meeting for March 18 on as scheduled, future meetings to be determined.
*City of Strong City City Hall closed to the public. City asking residents to pay utility bills by using the city dropbox or by mail

*Chase County State Lake closed until further notice 

*Chase County Courthouse closed to the public with essential personnel only to report and residents directed to call respective offices if payment is needed. Chase County Treasurer's Office encourages residents to renew vehicle tags online or by mail unless absolutely necessary

*Coffey County Courthouse with limited public access. Residents must call ahead and go through a health screen. Payments need to be put in dropboxes or mailed. Commission meetings to be held in basement conference rooms until further notice. Coffey County Lake closed until further notice
*Greenwood County Courthouse closed to the public with essential personnel only to report and residents directed to mail payments to the respective office. County Commission recommending no public gatherings until at least March 31. Courthouse public and employee entrance restricted to northeast handicapped-accessible automatic door until further notice
*Morris County Courthouse closed to the public with essential personnel only to report and residents directed to call respective offices if payment is needed. Sheriff's Office fingerprinting for the public suspended until further notice
*Osage County Courthouse limited public access residents asked to call respective offices if needed or deliver pertinent payments/paperwork to Osage County Sheriff's Deputy located at west entrance.
*Osage County Board of Health closing restaurants, dining facilities, bars, taverns, community centers, fitness centers and clubs until further notice. Food-related businesses may stay open if they provide carryout, drive-thru or delivery services. Public gatherings of 10 or more people prohibited except for religious services, funerals, memorial services and meetings defined by the Internal Revenue Service. Social distancing guidelines must be followed
*Wabaunsee County Courthouse open 8 am to 3 pm weekdays with limited entry/exit. All other county buildings closed to the public with business conducted by phone, email or special arrangement at department head discretion

*All Social Security offices closed
*Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve public contact facilities, including visitor center, other buildings and restrooms, are closed. Trails are open
*US Army Corps of Engineers offices at John Redmond Reservoir and Marion Reservoir closed until further notice. Campgrounds at both lakes closed from March 23 to May 15. Visitor center at Melvern Lake closed until further notice

Mental Health

*Crosswinds Counseling and Wellness offices open with essential personnel reporting and emergency services continuing on a 24-7 basis. Residential Home will continue to be staffed as needed. Therapeutic Preschool, Gateway/Children’s Psychosocial or Adult Psychosocial Groups suspended until further notice. Therapists, medication providers, case managers and peer support services will continue

Medical

*Flint Hills Community Health Center billing office closed to the public; residents are told to pay online, mail payments or call the office at 342-4864 ext. 5720. Dental care restricted to emergencies. March Board of Directors meeting canceled
*Haag Pharmacy lobby closed. Delivery, carryout and drive-thru service available
*Newman Regional Health visitation hours now 10 am to 6 pm with visits limited to one person at a time for a maximum of 30 minutes; no visits allowed in same-day surgery pre-operating area, operating room recovery area or Cath Lab recovery areas; one visitor may remain in same-day surgery or Cath Lab waiting areas after successful verbal screens. Visitors in the emergency room, ExpressCare and Clinical Decision Unit will be allowed under special circumstances and are limited to immediate family only. Visitors are now required to use Entrance F and pass a verbal health screen before proceeding. One visitor allowed to accompany patient for outpatient clinic or hospital appointments after completing a successful verbal screen. Fiscal Affairs and Billing office closed to the public until further notice; residents told to pay bills online, mail payments or call 343-6800. Snack bar, Gift Shoppe and all volunteer information desks closed until further notice. Auxiliary closed until further notice.

Nonprofit Agencies and Service Clubs: Emporia

*Abundant Harvest building closed until further notice. Agency will offer free drive-through cooked, packaged, and bagged meals from 5:00-5:30 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. Food will be packaged and bagged. Drive-through only, while supplies last. One bag per person. Must be present to get food.
*Cradle to Career Literacy Center closed because Kansas schools are closed. Staff is working from home teaching current students. Residents with questions can call 342-6954.
*Emporia Community Foundation office closed until further notice. Staff working remotely during the office closure and are available through cell phone, email, text message and Facebook
*Hetlinger Day Services postponed
*Humane Society of the Flint Hills office closed. Staff available via email and Facebook
*Emporia Kiwanis Club meetings, fundraisers and volunteers canceled through April. Includes Emporia State Circle K Club, Sacred heart Catholic School Builders Club and Olpe High School Key Club
*Emporia Rotary Club remaining March and April meetings canceled
*Emporia Sertoma Club meetings and activities canceled through April, including private parties at the Soden's Grove miniature train
*Kansas Children's Service League offices closed to the public except for Juvenile Intake and Assessment services in Topeka and ongoing construction in Wichita. Essential staff reporting to offices. Home visitors and case managers performing virtual home visits
*Patriot Guard Riders in "stand-down" mode until further notice
*Salvation Army of Emporia office and thrift store closed to the public until further notice
*SOS Child Visitation and Exchange Center suspending all visitation/exchange services through April 23

*North Lyon County Child Development Center closed. Child care and preschool programs suspended indefinitely.
*North Lyon County Youth Association fish fry and auction April 4 postponed

Law Enforcement

*Emporia Police enacting temporary reporting procedures effective Tuesday until further notice. Officers will respond to basic non-life-threatening calls, including theft, criminal damage, burglary to vehicle or dwelling, lost or found property and non-injury crashes by phone. Officers will respond as necessary to life-threatening situations and crimes in progress.
*Lyon County Sheriff's Office lobby and detention center closed until further notice. Work release suspended until further notice. Ride-alongs suspended until further notice. Residents are asked to call 620-341-3205 to report a crime and, If possible, meet the deputy outside of your residence. All exterior providers to the Lyon County Detention Center, including clergy, mental health providers, etc will not be allowed inside the detention center until further notice. Offender registrations will be conducted over the phone at 341-3206 through the end of March.
*Chase County Sheriff's Office having offenders register by phone. Vehicle inspections suspended until further notice

Churches and Religious

*Admire United Methodist Church, Allen United Methodist Church and Miller United Methodist Church canceling regular worship services through April 5. Combined Easter service will be at 6:45 am April 12 at Admire Cemetery. Maundy Thursday, Good Friday services and Bible studies canceled
*Catholic Masses in Lyon, Coffey, Osage and Wabaunsee counties canceled unless in cases of funerals. Funeral Mass attendance limited to 50 people. Temporary dispensation from Sunday Mass obligation remains in place for Catholics in Chase, Greenwood and Morris counties
*Emporia Christian Church not holding live services until further notice. Church will record sermons, articles and other worship materials to be posted on church website and Facebook pages
*Emporia Presbyterian Church to live-stream its services March 29
*Emporia Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church Stations of the Cross at 7 pm April 3, Holy Thursday Mass at 7 pm April 9, Good Friday service at 7 pm April 10 and Easter Vigil Mass at 8 pm April 10 will all be live-streamed. Sunday Mass at 10 am will be live-streamed until further notice, including Easter Sunday Mass. All adoration hours are also canceled until further notice
*First Christian Church Sunday worship services canceled until further notice
*First United Methodist Church ceasing all meetings in the church until further notice. Sunday worship service to air on KVOE and KVOE.com
*Flint Hills Baptist Church is live-streaming its main Sunday service and encouraging congregation members to mail offerings or drop them at office
*Grace United Methodist Church worship services March 29 canceled. Activities and meetings canceled until further notice
*Messiah Lutheran Church worship services suspended through April 5. Sunday services will be held at the Lyon County Fairgrounds at 9 am and will be broadcast on 14 KVOE, 96.9 FM and KVOE.com
*Olpe Knights of Columbus activities canceled through May 1. March meeting canceled. Club's biscuits and gravy breakfasts canceled until further notice
*New Life Christian Church will no longer hold services at the church or have traditional meetings until further notice. Services and Bible studies will be held online. Music and Ministry NIght and Worship Training Seminar postponed to June 19-20. Praisefest in the Lot and Seder Service postponed until further notice
*Saffordville United Methodist Church canceling worship services until April 5
*St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church Emporia has suspended all public worship services until May 17th. You can watch online Morning Prayer each Tuesday and Thursday at 9 am, as well as our Sunday Worship Service at 10 am at: www.facebook.com/StAndrewEmporia
*Sunrise Free Will Baptist Church will be open for prayer services Tuesday at 5:30 pm and utilize live-streaming over Facebook for Sunday morning worship at 11:30 am. Sunday School, Sunday evening Bible study and Wednesday evening Bible study are suspended until further notice.
*St. Mark's Lutheran Church is suspending all events, including worship service, until further notice
*Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church 10 am worship service moving online to www.12thave.org
